Weekly Summer Camps
Saint Richard Catholic School provides eight weeks of exciting, fun-filled day camps for rising PK3 through 6th Graders. Camps are offered Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. The full schedule and registration details can be found below.Tutoring Services
Looking to bridge the gap for your child during the summer months? St. Richard School offers a tutoring program for all enrolled students to keep their minds active all summer long.
Student Volunteer Service Hours
St. Joseph Catholic School students in 8th grade and above seeking service hours are welcome to volunteer at St. Richard Summer Camps. Non-St. Joseph students may volunteer with administrative approval.
Camp Cardinal is a partnership between St. Richard School and St. Joseph Catholic School, providing campers with exciting themed weeks, hands-on activities, outdoor play, STEM challenges, art projects, games, and opportunities to build new friendships. Whether your child joins us for one week or the entire summer, our goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where campers can learn, explore, and have fun.
Rising PK3 & PK4 Camp Experience
Our youngest campers (rising PK3 & PK4) will enjoy a relaxed, activity-filled summer right here on the St. Richard campus, with special extras like water days, baking classes, arts and crafts, and STEM activities.
Rising K5 - 7th Grade Camp Experience
We partner with St. Joseph Catholic School to offer our students an exciting summer of off-campus enrichment, outdoor activities, faith-based experiences, and fellowship with St. Joe students and staff! Read on for more details.
Everything You Need to Know To Attend Summer Camp
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Information for all campers:
Morning drop-off begins each day at 7:30 AM at St. Richard School.
If you have completed the camp release form:
• Enter campus through the Druid Hills gates.
• Pull up by the playground gate.
• Staff will assist your child out of the vehicle and walk them inside.
If you have completed the camp release form:

• Please park and walk your child to the playground gate.
• Check in at the red table with a staff member.
Rising K5 through rising 7th grade students must arrive by 8:30 AM Monday through Thursday in order to ride the bus to St. Joe for camp activities. If your child is running late or has an appointment, you may drop them off directly at St. Joe. Please text the camp phone at 601-991-5198 to let us know.
For afternoon pick-up:
• Text the camp phone when you are on your way so staff can have your child ready.
• Pick-up will take place in the same location as morning drop-off.
Please note:
• PreK students arriving after 8:15 AM should be walked into the school through the front entrance.
• If you need to pick up a PreK student before 12:30 PM Monday through Thursday, please call the school office at 601-366-1157, as the camp phone will be with the older students at St. Joe.
• On Fridays, all campers remain on the St. Richard campus for the entire day.
Items to Bring Each Day:
Please label all personal belongings with your child's name.
Campers should bring:
• A refillable water bottle
• A morning snack
• An afternoon snack
Families are welcome to send snacks for the entire week on Monday in labeled bags if preferred.
Rising K5 and older campers attending St. Joe may also bring $2 per day if they would like to purchase concession snacks.
Lunch Information:
Campers may bring a lunch from home or purchase lunch through camp for $6 per day.

PreK students will eat lunch in their classrooms.

ADDITIONAL PREK CAMP INFORMATION
Our PreK Camp is led by one of our experienced PreK teachers and is designed to closely mirror a typical preschool day. Campers enjoy themed weeks filled with art projects, music, STEM activities, hands-on learning experiences, outdoor play, baking activities, and weekly Soccer Shots sessions.
To help students prepare for a successful transition into the school year, we continue many of the same routines and expectations used during the academic year, including our daily clip chart communication system.
PreK campers should bring:
• A small pillow, pillowcase, and blanket for nap time
• A full change of clothes in a labeled bag
• Play clothes and closed-toe shoes
• A labeled water bottle
• Daily snacks and lunch (if not purchasing lunch through camp)
Families may also send labeled sunscreen and bug spray for outdoor activities.
Nap Time:
At 1:00 PM each day, rising K5 students join the PreK campers for afternoon rest time until 2:00 PM. Campers participating in nap time should bring a small pillow, pillowcase, and blanket.
ADDITIONAL K5 THROUGH 7TH GRADE CAMP INFORMATION
Weekly Camp Experience for Older Campers:
- Our off-campus experiences for rising K5-7th graders will take place from 9am - 12pm on Mondays through Thursdays.
- Afternoons and all day on Fridays will be spent at the St. Richard campus.
- Students must be dropped off at St. Richard by 8:30am to ride the bus to St. Joe (or alternate location).
- All rising K5 through 7th grade students will be transported by bus on Mondays - Thursdays to St. Joe (or alternate location) for their camps. If parents need to pick their kids up from camp before 12:30pm, they will need to pick up from the St. Joe camp. A St. Richard staff member will accompany our students off campus each day. You can contact the ASC number (601-991-5198) if you need to reach your student while they are off campus.
- Rising 6th & 7th graders will have the opportunity to be Counselors-in-Training at St. Richard in the afternoons.
- We will let parents know in advance what students will need to bring for each camp.
- Students who will be riding the bus and staying at St. Richard for any portion of the day must register for camp through St. Richard School. (Parents are welcome to register their students directly with St. Joe if they do not intend to utilize the St. Richard campus or bus for any part of the day.)
When campers return from St. Joe each afternoon, they participate in a variety of engaging activities including:
• STEM challenges
• Art projects
• Outdoor games and recreation
• Academic enrichment opportunities
• Team-building activities and special events
