ANNUAL SAINT RICHARD SCHOOL EVENTS

Saint Richard Catholic School promotes community through our annual school events like Cardinalfest, Catholic Schools Week and Krewe de Cardinal, our yearly fundraiser. Our StR Parent Association also hosts “Family Fun Nights” throughout the year to include movie and game nights. Read on for more information.

 

 

Cardinalfest

Saint Richard Catholic School hosts its annual fall festival each October complete with food, music, vendors, a costume contest, games, and activities for all ages.  Saint Richard Catholic School students and families along with Saint Richard Parish are invited to attend. A wristband is required to enter for a small fee to help cover the cost of the event. It is hosted by the Saint Richard Parent Association.

 

 

Catholic Schools Week

National Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. For almost 50 years, CSW has traditionally been held the last week in January. During Catholic Schools Week, we do our best to showcase what makes Catholic schools a wonderful choice for families looking to find the right school for their children. Schools typically observe the week with Masses, assemblies and other activities for students, families, parishioners, and community members to celebrate and congratulate. Saint Richard customarily celebrates with a special Mass, a rally at the State Capitol and a fun, family party at Hal & Mal’s restaurant with music and karaoke. This year’s theme is Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.

 

 

Krewe de Cardinal Mardi Gras Ball

Krewe de Cardinal is Saint Richard Catholic School's signature fundraiser and has evolved into Jackson's biggest Mardi Gras ball. This festive evening features a brass band, premium silent and live auctions, a cash drawing, dancing, and New Orleans-style cocktails & cuisine. Tickets are just $100 per person! Host Couple and Event Sponsorships are available and come with special amenities like reserved seating and an invitation to the pre-event VIP Cocktail Hour.  For more information, contact the Development office, [email protected]  

 

 

Saint Richard Parent Association Family Fun Nights

Saint Richard Catholic School Parent Association hosts Family Fun Nights throughout the year to encourage camaraderie among students and families. Events may include movie nights, arts-integration activities, or family dinners. Information about these activities are sent to parents via school communication.
