I graduated from Millsaps College in 1995 with my B.S. in Psychology. For many years after graduation I worked in various aspects of mental health. Once my own children were old enough to attend school, I finally followed my dream of becoming a counselor and enrolled in graduate school at Jackson State University, earning my MSW degree and becoming licensed in 2014. I was drawn to Saint Richard Catholic School first as a parent, and eventually as a staff member. My extensive experience in research, mental health, and even the pharmaceutical industry has prepared me well for my job here at Saint Richard. I truly believe that my long and windy path was created just for me in order to help the children of this school overcome challenges, as well as discover their own unique potential.
I am fortunate to be a Mom to two great St. Richard Cardinals, Turner and Christopher; and wife to husband, David. We live in Belhaven with 3 Cats and 1 Dog.
My favorite thing about being a part of StR is making meaningful connections with the students and their families. I look forward to coming to work every day because of those connections!
