I graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Elementary Education. When I began teaching at St. Richard Catholic School I knew I had joined a family, a team, a community. There was a special feeling I got the first time I walked into the school, a feeling that grew warm inside me as I toured the campus and witnessed the teaching and learning taking place. That sense has remained as I have come to know the children, families, and faculty that characterize this place. And now my family has joined the student body as my little grandson began Pre-K 3 this year. It is a privilege to teach in an environment infused with love and learning, where I am constantly challenged between being a teacher and being a learner.
My favorite thing about StR is continuing to grow as a person, teacher, teammate, and friend in a supportive and loving family community. (And getting to see my grandson every day!)
