Dear Cardinal Families,
We are closing out another great week and I want to thank everyone who was able to make it to Back-to-School Night. We have the most dedicated and hard working teachers, and I am glad parents got to the opportunity to spend time in their classrooms and hear from them about the year ahead.
St. Richard Garden Flags
Cub Scouts — Sunday, August 24
StR Cub Scout Pack 30 will kick off fall activities with their annual water rocket build and launch at St. Richard Church (Foley Hall and the field) on Sunday at 1:30pm. Current Scouts and anyone interested are welcome to join in the fun!
Track & Cross Country Visit — Monday, August 25
The St. Richard Running Club is partnering with the St. Joseph Catholic School's Track & Cross Country teams this year to help inspire and encourage our young runners. On Monday, St. Joe's runners will stop by to visit our 3rd - 6th grade students!
Extracurricular Activities
Speaking of extracurriculars, all of our extracurricular activities will begin the week of September 8th. The deadline to sign up is September 1st. Sign up here.
No Mass — Wednesday, August 27
Students can wear regular uniforms this day. Mass will be on Friday, August 29th next week.
Grandparents Day — Friday, August 29
We are excited to welcome grandparents to St. Richard School next Friday. We will begin with Mass on Friday, followed by refreshments and a visit to the classrooms! Students wear mass uniforms.

Diocesan T-shirt Fundraiser
The Office of Catholic Education has created a T-shirt based on this year's theme which is "Come Follow Me" John 10:27. Activities throughout the school year will center around this theme. All proceeds from the T-shirt sale will be used to provide increased professional development for our educators. Registration is open until September 15th. All t-shirts will be delivered to your school in October.
